The Message, the Proof, and Fruit

Hebrews 2:3-4  So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus Himself and then delivered to us by those who heard Him speak?  (4)  And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever He chose.

Acts 14:3  But the apostles stayed there a long time, preaching boldly about the grace of the Lord. And the Lord proved their message was true by giving them power to do miraculous signs and wonders.

Acts 8:6  Crowds listened intently to Philip because they were eager to hear his message and see the miraculous signs he did.

John 5:20  For the Father loves the Son and shows Him everything He is doing. In fact, the Father will show Him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished.

John 14:12  "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

Mark 16:17-18  These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in My name, and they will speak in new languages.  (18)  They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won't hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed."

Luke 6:44  A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from thornbushes, and grapes are
not picked from bramble bushes.

John 15:3-8  You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.  (4)  Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me.  (5)  "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.  (6)  Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.  (7)  But if you remain in Me and My words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!  (8)  When you produce much fruit, you are My true disciples. This brings great glory to My Father.
