Fear

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.   - 2 Timothy 1:7

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's Spirit when He adopted you as His own children. Now we call Him, "Abba, Father."   - Romans 8:15

Because God's children are human beings--made of flesh and blood--the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could He set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.  - Hebrews 2:14-15

And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face Him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.  - 1 John 4:17-18

By The Spirit

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.   - Romans 8:14

But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.   - Galatians 5:18

Changing Thoughts and Attitudes

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.   - Romans 12:2

Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.   - Ephesians 4:23

The Message, the Proof, and Fruit

Hebrews 2:3-4  So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus Himself and then delivered to us by those who heard Him speak?  (4)  And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever He chose.

Acts 14:3  But the apostles stayed there a long time, preaching boldly about the grace of the Lord. And the Lord proved their message was true by giving them power to do miraculous signs and wonders.

Acts 8:6  Crowds listened intently to Philip because they were eager to hear his message and see the miraculous signs he did.

John 5:20  For the Father loves the Son and shows Him everything He is doing. In fact, the Father will show Him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished.

John 14:12  "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

Mark 16:17-18  These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in My name, and they will speak in new languages.  (18)  They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won't hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed."

Luke 6:44  A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from thornbushes, and grapes are
not picked from bramble bushes.

John 15:3-8  You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.  (4)  Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me.  (5)  "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.  (6)  Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.  (7)  But if you remain in Me and My words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!  (8)  When you produce much fruit, you are My true disciples. This brings great glory to My Father.

The Law

1 Timothy 1:9-10  For the law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who kill their father or mother or commit other murders.  (10)  The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching

Failed Grace

"...Failed the grace of God..."

See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;  - Hebrews 12:15

Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.  - Hebrews 12:15

You Will Reap; Don't Give Up

"You will reap if you faint not"

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.  - Galatians 6:9

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.  - Hebrews 10:35-36

Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.  - James 1:4
