My
brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let
patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire,
wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be
given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that
wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the
Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Let the
brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: - James 1:2-9
Consider
it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing
that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance
have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete,
lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of
God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be
given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the
one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the
wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything
from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
But the brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high
position; - James 1:2-9
Dear
brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way,
consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your
faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow,
for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and
complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God,
and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But
when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not
waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of
the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not
expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided
between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they
do. Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has
honored them. - James 1:2-9
Be
careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the
peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7
Be
anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the
peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your
hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7
Don’t
worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what
you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience
God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace
will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. -
Philippians 4:6-7
This
is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm
constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to
maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
- Titus 3:8
Blessed
is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For
he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out
her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her
leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
- Jeremiah 17:7-8
"Blessed
is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD. "For
he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots
by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves
will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor
cease to yield fruit. - Jeremiah 17:7-8
“But
blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their
hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank,
with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not
bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their
leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. - Jeremiah
